The company, called Medical Intelligence, has a long line of products aimed at the elderly, disabled as well as workers who are working alone in potentially dangerous locations.The product is called the Urgentys and it is a powerful “miniature communication, and geolocation device, with an integrated alarm which can be activated discreetly by lone workers faced with a potentially violent or intimidating situation.”
The Urgentsys was developed for workers who’s safety may be a cause for concern, but can also be used by many other professionals, including tour-guides, outdoors-men and women, security personnel and law enforcement, skiers and adventurers among others. The product has built in GPS, panic button, phone book, and can be triggered automatically by the wearer or call centre to activate two way voice communication. It also has messaging capabilities to track job completion and location and can auto-recharge without a power-source.
